Rodeway Inn, Just be sure and check for bed bugs & roaches. I can't believe that dump get's $90.
If I had to stay for 6 days like you I'd be looking for higher quality as well. But for one night I can deal with the lowly peasants...

Have you actually stayed there? I have, 3 times, and would do so again.
Rodeway Inn had a fire in Feb 2013 and was closed for spring York. lost top two floors in the fire due to a smoker in no smoking room. Hope you made your reservation thru them or choice hotels to make sure they are open again because other reservation systems may not be up to date. I stayed there for 4e years both meets and had zero problems.

That's just Eddie spouting off. As much as he touts the York experience, he does sometimes come out with comments that might cause concern among some first-timers.

Ha, the same thing happened to the hotel we booked for a recent Corvette show. Got really lucky and passed by a newly opened Holiday Inn Express that no one knew about.
But anyway I did make the reservation through Choice Hotels and the pictures they provided of the rooms looked perfectly fine. Certainly better than the actual musty-smelling, stains-on-the-walls dumps we've had to stay at for a couple of those Corvette shows...
Hehe, Roadway Inn called the other day and cancelled my reservation due to fire damage. Guess you guys called that one
Just secured the same room at the same rate at the "Econo Lodge" a couple more minutes away.
OK, found a nice place near Harrisburg (meets my wife's approval + non-smoking + free parking + breakfast + wifi) and the price was really good (half the price of York-area hotels). Since I plan to do some railfanning around Duncannon this should work out just fine.
Just an FYI - you all will have another option probably sometime next year. There is a new Hampton Inn being built right next to the Queen Street exit. Depending on lights and traffic, it'll be about 15 minutes to the fairgrounds.

Would you mind me asking which hotel that is? Sounds like it could be the one we just stayed at for the Corvettes at Carlisle show. Very nice indeed.
The other direction. Comfort Suites Hummelstown - Hershey
