Got a few O electric loco frames in the junk box and I know what they are except this one. The bearing covers are cast.
Also, I am looking for an Ives 3260 frame if anyone has one in their junk box.

Flyer. Electric outline 31XX series.
Steve,
that frame is American Flyer. it was used on a 3107 Locomotive in green and blue-green. With different cast pilots (without the sand domes) and the threaded rods removed it also was used on the 3109 with die cast hoods.
Roland
Thanks Rolland.

Here are two of the variations of the 3107 that use that frame.
The 3105 also used the same frame but with a different pilot.
Greg,
I thought I forgot one, the 3105, and that frame should fit a 3109 as is. Thanks
Roland
I don't own a 3109. In fact I don't remember seeing one that didn't have damaged die cast hoods. I keep looking for one in decent shape and I understand that the hoods have been reproduced. I've got a very nice set of 3170 cars to go with it if I ever do find one.
A Google search turned up few good photos showing the frame. Here is one of them.
Greg,
I have never had a chance to look at all three side by side (3105, 3107 , 3109) but it looks like the cast pilots on the 3109 are different from the 3105 pilots. They seem more like the 3107 pilots minus the sand domes.
Roland
That is what I noticed too. I'll bet they used a different pilot on each engine to make them look different. You have to give Flyer credit for adaptive reuse.
Here is another Google image with a closer view of the pilot. It also shows how the hoods tend to deteriorate.

Trickel sells these by the way. He has a booth in the orange hall @ York.
