For the life of me, I've never been able to understand why Lionel cancelled the FasTrack Expander Paste. If you watch Mike Reagan's how-to video from several years ago, it's clear how incredibly helpful the Expander Paste would have been to make up odd-length track sections when building or modifying a FasTrack layout:

Turned out it caused users to develop an unnatural desire for escargot. Mike Reagan, being a red blooded American, refused to let them use his patent unless the French renamed them "freedom snails."
