Running new I1 decapod. No issues until recently. Using Legacy Cab 1 remote, when I push the whistle button in Legacy quill mode, it is changing the chuffing labor intensity. Its very noticeable at a certain speed, the labor intensity of the chuffing smooths out and quiets down at "cruising" speed. When I push the whistle button, the chuffing immediately gets noticeably louder and with deeper bass until I let off. Then the chuffing changes back to normal. It almost like it's tricking the locomotive into thinking it needs more pulling power. I have tried it in TMCC mode and it doesn't do this. Also it doesn't do this with the Bluetooth app. It's a little annoying hearing the chuff get so loud and deep every time the whistle sounds.
