The SGMA will not be doing this show. The WGHT fell under the radar this year because of the show locations. Hopefully, there will be a place next year where a really giant layout can come together.

The Pittsburgh show was a great success and the group will be back because there are new members building modules and a chapter is being formed there. Chicagoland is a great train place and a few guys can easily start a SGMA chapter in the area. The same is true in New England where the Big E show could be done every year.

There is a poosibility of a small SGMA display at the Greenburg show in Rochester, NY this spring. For now if you want to see SGMA trains run you will have to come to Charlies going away party in February at my house.
Joining the SGMA is as easy as signing up for the SGMA and STANDG Yahoo groups and providing me with your contact information (follow the link on the SGMA website). There are no dues or membership applications. I hope you will consider joining the fun.

Location isn't really that big of an issue since we don't meet except at shows where we are staging a display. The club is essentially internet based, with all discussions on standards, activities and interests being exchanged on our Yahoo group pages and in email conversations. I will provide the names of SGMA members closest to you if you send me your home address.

The best way to get involved is to build a couple of modules and then to follow the internet discussions to find an event in which you would like to participate. You may discover a group of people that you would like to work with for local shows. All the information you need to build a module can be found at www.SGMA.US.

Best wishes,
