I just received this Williams 6 car set in the mail to match the Williams PA-1s and since this is a rather hard set to complete, I figured you guys might like a video of it!

Very nice!
Always a great feeling to complete a hard to find set!
Excellent!
Can you shoot another one with your camera held horizontally please? Vertical camera shots are too small for 16:9 Monitors.
A beautiful set to be sure!

Oops! Sorry about that, I shoot in vertical since it works better on instragram. I won’t be at my dads house for about 3 weeks but I’ll definitely shoot it again for you next time I’m there!
I’ve started making a B unit! I picked up this MTH Texas Special B unit for a whopping $20 and went to town on it. Totally forgot to cover up the porthole windows before painting though...

That looks like a pretty good color match Jack. Something you'll notice soon enough however is how much 'air' there is around the Williams trucks and how small their fuel tank is compared to the MTH unit. This is jokingly referred to as "high-water" trucks because it makes the locomotive appear to be sitting really high on the rails. The prototype PA's are massive beasts and are hulking locomotives that command attention.
I modified some Williams Santa Fe's some years ago with balsa sides added to the fuel tanks and made them much larger when I repainted them into the seldom seen D&RG 'Aspen Leaf' scheme. I have the B unit for these as well but it didn't make the photo shoot!
You can easily see the difference here below from our Northern Pacifics!

Oh yes I have noticed lol BUT at least they look good on display. The lionel and MTH one’s do look a lot better but I don’t think they make a N. P. scheme PA
Now for decals!
