Wiring for MTH smoke system.. | O Gauge Railroading On Line Forum

In checking the wick for an older MTH B6 Switcher, I noticed 2 wires had come loose from the smoke unit. One is brown and the other is grey. Which colors should be soldered to post on bottom and the one on the top of smoke unit unit? Top for me would be the 2 solder points close together. My eyes and hands are getting too wonky for this troubleshooter stuff...Thanks, Michael

Gray goes to the smoke motor, brown goes to the smoke heater.

Standard colors are gray and green to the smoke motor, gray is positive. Purple and brown to the smoke heater, no polarity issues.

Polarity is essential for the fan motor, so air is blown out of the stack.
