I usually put about 10 hours a week on the railroad; scenery, buildings, weathering, and other assorted projects.

However, being hit with such a hard winter, I am focusing on seeing some real trains this summer. Feels good to get out.

Mind you I still run trains almost every night but I decided to put the tools down for a while.

How many of you are taking a break?

The Norfolk and Southern Employee appreciation day was really a special treat.

The varnish they lined up were beautiful Norfolk and Western cars from all over the line.

They were gorgeous inside and out. I will post some pics.

This was a once an lifetime opportunity and my son and I and the some of the Detroit Three Railers really had a great time.

Meeting Rich for the first time was icing on the cake and he was a true Gentleman.
