Brad,

My Yoder 44T has a Soundtraxx Tsunami TS-1000 EMD 567. Since no one I'm aware of is replicating the specific 44T sound at present, I choose this early diesel sound as suitable enough. I have programmed it to have a fairly low audibility. The horn and bell sound is perfect as I was able to see and hear 44 tonners in operation during my childhood. Overall it is very entertaining to operate. This engine has a very low current draw and can use this 1amp Tsunami without any concerns for ruining it as far as I've experienced at any rate.

I'd say if your not game to pop the cab off, you would be better served by sending the model to a DCC decoder installer and simply tell them you want DCC and sound. The matter of which products to use then become their concern.
