Nice job, Alan!

Hi Jon....thanks! No, I don't have any outdoor railroad updates. We had a slight setback as a storm took our Gazebo....never saw a flying Gazebo before but watched it through my living room window! So...funds are going toward reconstruction....
Thanks Jeff C....!!
Alan

Alan
Sorry to hear. That is a bit of a setback, but at least now you can cross that event off your bucket list.
Jon...thanks! I hope it is permanently off the bucket list! Living in the Ozark Mountain area brings some interesting weather patterns and in this particular case the storm had passed and the frontal winds behind it caused the damage.
Gary...Hey my Friend...I don't even own a aluminum row boat!!...but I do live in what many consider one of the best fishing areas in the country!...Bring your boat, we'll go fishin'
Alan
Alan, would you call this a "business or executive boat"? I do like it.
Aaaaah, that Alan!
He must be a descendant of one of those model artists who built the miniature city for the 1939 Worlds Fair.
Rip Track
Rip....you must be sipping on some of that cactus juice from your layout... but thanks for the nice compliment!
Brian...I would call it the boat on which the executive does business...
Alan
You are welcome and might I add that your FusionFiber product is fantastic!!
Alan
Here's some shots of my shipping and storage company. (just finished kit from Bar Mills) All the fellows are busy at work while a Milwaukee Road pup trailer waits to get loaded.
The other shot is my power station with fenced in transformers. The station is two Korber kits bashed. The chimney is scratch. Another Milwaukee Road pup is waiting for someone to fill and my newest, '58 Buick Special and '49 Ford 2 door w/fender skirts are some engineer's new rides. That is my new Peanut's Christmas Train coming around the corner. I just added those two loops (the other has the heavyweights on it) just because it gives me two more trains to run!

Boat? Don't ever let the owner hear you referring to his vessel as a boat. Its a yatch.

Paul,
The shipping company looks great. I also like the power station since I worked about half my career for power companies. Now I have 18 years in at a telecom. What is the manufacturer of the transformers in the switchyard?
Jon...thank you so much!
Alan
Hey Mill City,
Those DeSoto taxicabs had the most comfortable back seats of all!
That one is a 1946-48 model.

Hal, I'm certain Alan had comfort in mind when he chose them to populate his taxi stand.
That of course makes it tax deductable. Pat B.
The city "glows" at night.....
Alan
Alan,
Your city shots are great! It sure looks like the big city that glows at night! I don't see big cities much; I try to avoid them, but I do see Pittsburgh now and then, and your photos remind me of that night skyline!
Alan Ad Man, you just keep topping yourself! Is your yacht a waterline type model?
Mark Boyce, Thank you for the compliments. The structure is scratch built and the transformers are from K-Line.
Scenery Artist, Your wet roads are so real looking it's scary! Great job on them.
Trainroomgary, theBigCrabCake and chugman, thank you for your kind remarks.
Nick...thanks so much. How is your backdrop business coming along. We still would like to have you come aboard you know!!..
Hey Pat...I'll see if I can figure out a way to deduct the "railroad investments" on this year's taxes....
Thanks Mark...those pictures are from my first try building a layout many years ago..
Paul...thanks! The ship model is one that I bought off of ebay several years ago. There was a seller / importer on there that had a nice selection of large ship models. Of course the scale was still too small for O-gauge but I decided I could turn the model into a yacht or smaller lake-passenger vessel. It is pretty large at almost four feet.
Alan
Lee,
Looks like a mirror image of the bike shop on Main Street, Butler! It was an old department store but the bike guys have made a nice business there. I can see the same is happening on your great rendition. I also see your Streets is there. Looking forward to getting your book!!

K-Line! Thanks! Following Trainman2001's thread, he just finished a superb scratchbuilt transformer, but I will not want tot take the time to scratchbuild one.
