Son of a B___! Man what a shot! I'm heavy into geometry and spatial arrangements and this is just spectacular. Where do I get a ticket for your next open house?
Growing activity at RoadPaul Station. Center stage is Frank, suffering the humiliation of a public @ss chewin at the hands of his wife Marilyn. Something about his bad attitude and "we're on vacation" and "fuming about the train schedule won't make things move along any faster".

Alan, another great show tonight. Roger's station is wonderful, as is the rest of his layout. Thanks for posting the pics.

I agree with Jon. The Springfield station looks fantastic. You don't see that type architecture here in Pennsylvania.
I agree, beautiful scene.
It doesn't appear that anyone has a Ranch or Farm layout, which has grazing cattle, tractors, or riders on horseback.
My High Desert layout would not support such scenes, as there is nothing for cattle to graze on or horses to ride through in my world! It's just wonderful, stark desolation!

Rip,
The stark desolation is the beauty of your layout!
Thanks, Mark...that was a nice compliment!
It gives me the incentive to go out to the train building and run my Calico Freight Lines train again, after being idle for a few weeks!

Rip Track,
You're welcome. Yes, that is exactly what you need to do this morning. Go out there and run some trains through the desert!!
I have only one train, Mark, but I shall run it today!
AS IT IS WRITTEN, SO SHALL IT BE DONE!

RIP, i would like to add my congratulations on a wonderful setting to run your trains. Not every scene needs to be houses and buildings.
You've brought to life a stark location (and shown others that little scenery also tells a large story)!
Thanks
HEY INDYBRYAN,
I thank you also for your compliments!
Again, I have only one train, but I do have a siding on which I keep 2 other locomotives.
Since my layout is simply an expanded version (124 feet) of the simple "Circle Around the Christmas Tree", I have no need for switches, crossings, yards, time tables, or anything of the like! And of course, I have no structures of any kind!
The only things on my 1/2" OSB layout boards are Valve Cover "mountains", pathway rock, pea gravel, and sand.
My train "Calico Freight Lines" will run around and around the layout while I take a nap, with no attention required.
After spending 37 years in the high technology world of Aerospace, I've planned my retirement years to be as simple and low-tech as possible!
This 78-year-old now prefers life in the slow lane, thank you!

Ahhhh...smell that fresh air!
Nice, Spence!

Hey Pat...I'll see if I can figure out a way to deduct the "railroad investments" on this year's taxes....
Alan
Alan, Sounds like a plan
Guys, The bounty is mine. So is the tax foreclosure auction on one mighty fine layout. Pat B.
Jerry, on think you're onto something there. The proof will be if they have one inPRR Green with gold strips.

I want to thank all those who have sent me "Likes" since I posted a shot of my Desolate Barren Wilderness High Desert layout.
I've been getting a lot of these Likes, and it makes me feel good that some of you also like a layout with "nothing" as compared to one with "everything"!
To me, nothingness is a beautiful "gift", which must be enjoyed for what it "isn't" than for what it is!

Rip,
that's how I set out making my loop. Building on the KISS (keep it simple silly) System.
Good for you, Marty!

ACtually, that would be a pretty nice truck!
Hi Frank....thanks but I can't take credit for that nice figure. It is one of two figures that came with the special run Lionel Dump Truck that I believe Ertl made years ago...
Alan
That is a very cool figure though, you have to admit it is extremely realistic pose and it looks really good where and how you've located it. Sort of makes its own vignette in its own way. Great scene!
Thanks Lee!!
