I have a layout with two lines powered by a z4000 through DCS. I plan on adding to additional lines and running two separate z1000 power packs directly to the two remaining TIU ports. Will I get enough power to my remaining lines or is it worth investing in another z4000?

Your two Z4000 outputs will give you about 9 amps each under load. Each Z1000 brick will give you 5+ amps under load. Check your run amps with the Z4000 to judge your needs.
If the remaining tracks are running a single train, unless it's a real power hog, the Z-1000 should be fine.
