I have a two sets of ZStuff DZ 1010 crossing gates that have sat in boxes collecting dust for a bit. So I tried them out and am not having much luck.
For one unit the arm lowered half way and it stopped.
For units 2 & 3 I get no arm movement.
For the fourth unit the arm went down but does not return (I think maybe because its paired with a unit whose arm will not go down and complete the cycle.
It seems that like electronics are in reasonable shape but suspect its mostly issues with the motors....
At any rate, has anyone opened these up to tinker with them? Any hope of servicing them myself (in other words does anyone know if I can open one up and not have bunch of springs pop out kind of thing???)
I am sure I could get them serviced properly but I am looking to save all that time and shipping etc....
