There goes my morning plans

I'll be driving to California with a carload of roller derby girls, no catalog for me

you win!

A carload of roller derby girls trumps trains (and just about everything else) every time.

I have no money. I have no room. I have no time. My wife thinks I'm nuts.

 

Yet .... what is in the new catalog? ... and, what I can buy from it? ... is all that has been on my mind for some time now.

 

Maybe one of my chromosomes is messed up? I definately have a genetic predisposition for all things trains.

IT'S ABOUT TIME !!

 

Surprised there are no leaks (besides the "sneak peak", of course). I don't think this has ever happened before.

I tried to pump the Lionel reps about a month ago for details, even though they had seen the catalog, they "forgot" what was in it.

 

Guess I should have bought my Derby Girls with me to rough them up.

Perhaps the new catalog will have a Roller Derby car. Maybe one of those operating gondola with skater chasing each other.

From my dealer, I hear there are going to be many good surprises in all sections of the new catalog.  Oh, I forgot, you can't make everyone happy here on the forum.  Well then, more for the rest of us.

The animated gondola idea sounds like a good idea for an offering by the league to sell as souvenirs at half-time or whatever you call it. Looking at the ladies however, I think I'll be safer at home with someone less brawny.  So, what "new" items can we expect everyone to wish for?

Maybe the Southern F3 set from 1954 for the CC series or the Milwaukee Road F3 set from 1956 for the PWC series.

I'm hoping for a C&O GP30 or GP7. Would also like to see something in Lionel colors and a new LionMaster locomotive.

I will be very happy if a Amtrak Amfleet Cafe car appears in the catalog.

She has more graphics than an MTH graffiti car.  But, she is a whole lot prettier.

Ahh yes, brings back memories of the Roller Games of the 1960's & 70's and the Philadelphia/Eastern Warriors with characters like Buddy Atkinson, Judy Arnold, Ronnie "The Psycho" Raines, Jan Vallo, John "Porky" Parker, Sally Vega and Jim Trotter.  Nothing like a good intermission grudge Match Race!!

 

As for the catalog, I like not knowing what's in it so I can be surprised seeing the new items for the first time on each turn of the page!
