Sure is exciting waiting for Menard's new product announcements.

C'mon Mark; your killing my Visa Card.
I hope that's a CN hopper and that there's more CN items to come! I sure would love a CN engine shed!!!!
I just wished I lived closer to a Menards!!! Great job.

Mark,
Would Menard's have a interest in purchasing the Weaver tooling and molds? They could use them to get into the 3-rail scale business. Just a idea.
Good thinking Jim! Menards buying Weaver would be a Win/Win for all!
Thank you Seacoast. Glad you liked my idea.
Jim-
Brilliant idea! Weaver products are just too good to totally disappear.
Thank you Mike Pyrtko. Glad you liked my idea. Now if we can just get Menard's to like it. Hope you have a great day.

Only if you will come out of retirement and show them how it's done Jim
Sorry, Johnnyspeed that's not going to happen. The only way I could out of retirement is if someone could find the fountain of youth. Celebrex, Tylenol and Bio Freeze isn't the answer.
Introducing the Weathered Canadian National Boxcar! This O gauge boxcar will be a beautiful new addition to your train collection! Each boxcar is uniquely numbered, so no two are the same! The box is colored gray with red sliding doors, and contains detailed logos and a professionally weathered look. The chassis is built with premium metal trucks and operating couplers. SKU# 279-2622

Very nice, looks like another trip to the local Menards customer pick-up desk.

Just to satisfy my curiosity, who supplies the Menards rolling stock? Making a profit at $25? Weaver???

Nope, Golden Wheel Diecast of Hong Kong. Go to their website and you will see some of the Menards product.

Chris,
We are currently offering a weathered Maine Central car. I think it looks pretty sharp! http://www.menards.com/main/ho...-2354060-c-13318.htm

Here's another great deal from Menard's.
Yea Spence I had to pull the pin on this one. Bought 8 of em.
Now I'll have my first HOSER train... Guess I should pick up some round
dowel paint it black and make some Hockey Puck loads eh ?
There needs to be more variations of Canadian National Flat Cars with CN Intermodal Trailers based on real ones operated between 1960-1990.
Andrew
Are these box cars 1:48 Scale?
Since I live near the CN / GTW line. I have to have the Font for the road number to be the same. Can that number be easily removed to put a new number series on it?

I love the Rail Box cars you have come out with. Those things were everywhere, you cant have too many of them. Are you ever going to a case lot special on them?
One other car that was everywhere on the prototype but is hard to find affordable in O gauge is these:
I don't know if you have tooling for a 57' reefer but if you would put that logo on any reefer I would buy several
Oh a few days ago I contacted Menard's via their web page and suggested they take over Weaver. I don't know if that message will get passed on.
I have always wondered, does one of the Menards higher ups have a ting for O gauge trains? The layout in your Christmas Youtube video is WAY too nice to have been made just for a photo shoot.
Thanks

I like the Menards cars but I do not think they are 1/48th scale just from their look and a picture is worth a thousand words.

Yes Mark I have seen it and it is a nice car! I'm just not into weathering so much and I don't have anything else that is.
Why not start a Wisconsin based O Scale custom painting and model making company using Weaver models as the base concept and elements.
Andrew
Well thanks again to Menard's my Visa Card is taking a hit. I just ordered the 8 car CN special along with a Moe's garage. Will this addiction never end?
Spence,
Great move. Menard's is offering great deals on (6) car freight car sets. People are always looking for a deal and Menard's is giving them.
