I followed the directions from both 153IR and 6-14098 mainline crossing gate but nothing happens. Is there suppose to be a little red light when the 153IR has power? I am using auxillary power not track power. Connected the red wire to A black wire to U on 153IR from a power supply cw-80 transformer from lionel.  Connected the black wire to acc ground, yellow wire to no, connected white wire to nc (all from crossing gate). that left blue and red wire from gates not connected. Are those wires suppose to connect to 153IR? Pass train in front of 153IR nothing happens. The 153IR is close to the track, sensitivity set to high. Nothing? It is probably something easy but could use a little help. Thanks from Mike

I did wire the gates like in manual on page four.  I ran power from transformer to the gates connecting blue to black and red to red.  Placed the white, yellow ,black wires like on page 4. I also tried running power to 153IR from transformer. so i had power from transformer running to gates and 153IR. Still nothing except for the gates blinking lights because they had power.  Thank you for the help Happy Easter

If using AUX power:  (Also, remember to not use wire that is larger than 24 gauge)

The wires from the power supply should go directly to the slots (left of rocker switch) on the 153IR.

See below for the remainder of connection possibilities:

Power is constantly ON

POWER terminal on the accessory connected to the ACC PWR terminal

GROUND terminal on the accessory connected to the ACC GND terminal

Power is ON until triggered by the train

POWER terminal on the accessory connected to the NC terminal

GROUND terminal on the accessory connected to the ACC GND terminal

Power is OFF until triggered by the train

POWER terminal on the accessory connected to the NO terminal

GROUND terminal on the accessory connected to the ACC GND terminal
