164 Log Loader Broken Wires

Anyone know where the 2 wires go?

looks like one of the red wires is burned.  not the top red wire but the one on the right hand side.  hope I am wrong. 

I think what you are looking is the under side of the 2004 Lionel remake of the 164 log loader. This featured the Train Master Commond Control.  I do not see where Lionel has produced any support liteature for it.  If someone could just look at the under side of one of these and report where the wires go would be the easiest way fix this. Otherwise I think a call to the Lionel Service Center will be required.

David has it-find someone with one. The parts diagram is in Supplement 34 complete(attached). I believe you have a 6-12915, first re-issued in 1996. No wiring diagram is available.

How about a "who has a" post? Then you could get a photo.

Looks like a resistor cooked. The white wire appears to one also.

Traindork and Larry, the wiring is OK.  I had to cut the wires to disassemble the unit.  had a bare spot on the wire I covered with liquid tape (got a little sloppy).

The unit was produced in 1996.  Maybe that helps.

I believe David is right, if someone could just take a picture or report on where they see the wires hooked up that would be great.

The yellow wire connects to AC and the green connects to the "unload" which dumps the logs onto a railcar.  I agree with you on the yellow wire.  I'll give it a try.
