Good Evening,

I have a Postwar #164 Lumber Loader and am having some trouble with it.  It is wired correctly (I think) but the dump feature works intermittently.  It will work one minute and not the next, I did check and there is power going to the solenoid you can feel it hum each time but the gate doesn't move.  Sometimes when I push the dump button the chains will move slowly on the loader instead.  Any ideas of what could be wrong?  Thank you!

Thanks for the reply Hokie.  I went back and disassembled the controller and it seems to be working ok.  I took the cover over the solenoid again and it I think I finally found the problem.  The solenoid on the dump function was "sticking" and it wouldn't fire.  All I did was touch it with my finger and it fired again.  It seems that the piston was just hanging up.   I assume this is some kind of alignment issue?  Not sure what the solution is for that but glad I found it!
