That's pretty neat. If anybody deserves a train depot named after him it's Marty.

That was very nice of OGR. Marty and Dotty are great people and ambassadors of the hobby.

These are two of my favorite people in our hobby. What a wonderful tribute to their many contributions to all of us who have called upon them for help.

Terrific tribute to two great people.  I have met Marty and Dotty and enjoyed their company at Captain John's open house last year.  But, I have greatly benefited by the information and encouragement Marty has given on this forum. 

 

PS - I just ordered both pieces and have a neat scenario worked our for their location on my layout.  Thank you for doing this.....

Wow, Rich, that was a real class thing to do!  Presenting them today at the Forum meeting was great.  I hope that someone captured the moment on video.

I must say the buildings were a GREAT surprise. We both want to extend our thanks to the wonderful people at OGR. They are the true backbone of our hobby, we are just a couple of the ribs. It is always interesting, fun and rewarding when you can interact with others in the hobby, both in person and on the OGR Forum, which has become the standard of railroad hobbyists. Again, THANK YOU from Marty and Dotty.

Great tribute structures for two of the finest promoters of the model train hobby and two of the nicest people that you will ever meet.   

Congratulations to both Marty and Dotty. I don't know Marty but recently I bought some hoppers from Dotty and she was excellent throughout the transaction.

The next day I was walking back to our booth and ran into Bernie Callan and Mat Horning of the NJ Hi-Railers. They had both new buildings in a bag and were going to have completed versions of them erected on their layout.

 

What a nice thing to do!

Marty and I are caught up after our trip to York, and ready to add our wonderful AmeriTowne buildings to the layout. Here's a picture of them at the OGR booth; our "before" picture. I'll post an "after" picture when we get them situated. Again, a big thank you to all the OGR people for these and all their other contributions to the hobby. We're pleased to be a part of... well,all of it!

Finally got caught up and back on the forum!! 

 

I wanted to say that it was my pleasure to present the new structures to my very good friends Marty and Dotty.  Months ago Marty was responsible for helping me with an important client...one of many times he has assisted me personally whenever I needed help with anything.  I approached the OGR principals with the suggestion of honoring Marty and Dotty and without hesitation, our team was on board with the idea.  I wanted to acknowledge Marty and his partner Dotty for the untiring giving of their time and generosity to the hobby and particularly to OGR and our membership.  I don't think I have met two folks as good as Marty and Dotty.  I as well as the rest of us are very fortunate to have them as friends....God Bless both of you!!
