2 Truck shay legacy

I have a two truck shay legacy. When trying to operate it the engine will only go around 6 inches and stops. I’ve tried it in the legacy mode and conventional mode does the same. The light in the engine indicates an engine stall. Any suggestions on fixing this problem?

Check the drive shaft and gears VERY closely, that's where most of these problems occur. There is a bit of adjustment you can make, and I've had to add shims to a 3-truck Shay to get the gears to mesh correctly. I've seen them where the gears don't mesh at all.
