Dear Fellow Trainees:

Just wanted to give you a heads up on the upcoming TCA/METCA National Convention taking place in the New York/New Jersey metropolitan area this coming June.

There are several extremely limited tours.  Once they are booked, that train has left the station.

As a fundraiser for the METCA Convention, LITTLE (Long Island Toy Train Locomotive Engineers) is donating all the proceeds from this hopper to the TCA.  Although the hopper orders were done last January, they just arrived in Lionel's facility in North Carolina last week, and should be delivered to those who pre-ordered it in the next two weeks.  We did order a few extras, so on a first come/first served basis

Hummmmmmmmmmmm. Donuts.

Can't get enough???  We ordered a few extras of the tank car too.  They have a scheduled delivery of June 2015.

SIGNS

Be one of the first 200 members to register for the 2015 TCA Convention when registration goes live on or about January 1, 2015 and you will receive a free gift when you pick up your registration materials at the convention (gift will not be shipped).  The gift is a set of Exclusive TCA “Burma Shave” type Road Signs made by K-Line.

This custom road sign set is reminiscent of the Burma Shave advertisement signs that sprouted up throughout America during the 50's.  Six white metal signs say, "If Toy Trains", "You Crave", "And Toy Trains", "You Save", "Don't Delay", if you want to see what the 6th sign says, register early and you’ll receive your own set of signs.  These clever signs measure 1-3/4" high and fit nicely with Standard and O gauge layouts.

Great issue of e*Train!! Palisades Park was a favorite place for my parents to take me in the summer. My father knew several of the game vendors and they would give him complimentary tickets for the rides. Back then you could put a dime on a number and win a carton of cigarettes with a spin of the wheel! My father came home with several cartons over the years. Interesting that Palisades started as a trolley park and ended as a bus ride only kind of place. We used to take the Orange and Black Bus Line from the Port Authority bus terminal. I am sorry I never took myself over there when I was older. I miss that place....
