I'm working on a neglected 238e that is missing one of the red marker lights and the headlight lens.
I bought a 249E-1 marker light that supposedly is the correct part number, but the new part is significantly larger than the original marker light on the locomotive, so much so that it won't fit in the hole in the engine. I'm not sure if I ordered the wrong part, the part I got was mis-boxed, or this new part was made incorrectly. Everything I see online indicates a 249E-1 should be the right marker for this old loco. Not sure what direction to go here.
I'm also looking to replace the missing headlight lens. If I'm seeing things correctly it uses a simple disc of clear plastic. Is that a good assessment?
