The manual says only to operate with 2 power supplies of 135 or 180 and don’t use 2 different.
Does anybody run with just 1 power supply?

It'll work fine with one power supply.
I run mine with a PW ZW. No issues at all.
The manual says to ONLY use TWO powerhouses. See attached PDF of page 8. Here is what the manual says:
CAUTION! ALWAYS USE TWO POWERHOUSE
POWER SUPPLIES. NEVER
OPERATE WITH ONLY ONE
POWERHOUSE.
Maybe they do not want one of the male plugs exposed? Or marketing to sell two bricks? It is only a caution, but it would be nice if they said why two are needed.
When I run mine with one 180 brick the breaker on the powerhouse will trip before the breaker on the powermaster. Then have to reset the breaker on the powerhouse. If running with two 180 bricks the powermaster will trip before the powerhouse. Saves a trip walking back to the brick and resetting the breaker. Dave said in one of his videos he didn't think the breaker on the powermaster would work right if using only one brick. That shed light on why my powerhouse 180 was tripping before the powermaster.
Thanks all, it seems can use with 1 brick and since powermaster breaker is set to trip higher then brick, could be better protection. Thanks all!
Correct on the breaker trip points. As for going back to the PH180 transformer to reset it, I solved that problem on my layout.
This RF remote controls each of the four PH180 bricks for the layout, and the last control shuts off the entire layout. I can cycle a brick from anywhere, and I have four of these remotes scattered around so there's always one close. When operating, I usually stick on in a pocket so I always have it handy. Each button is linked to one of these remote switches, the four are for the individual transformers, the last to the control at the wall outlet to kill the whole layout.
John, thanks and will do for mine! Thanks! 👍
John cool good idea. Sure beats running back to reset the Ph180.

Since mine are mounted under the layout inside the "hole", I'd have to either raise the lift-bridge or crawl under to reset them. Not something I wanted to have to do just to reset the transformers!
Great thoughts everyone, I think my directions say, you can use a single power source, however if your using the 135 or 180 watt bricks, use 2 of the same, 2 135 watts, or 2 180 watt at the same time. I like these new 360 watt powermasters. To re-power up if they shut down, simply hit the reset button. Great Question, Happy Railroading Everyone
