Experiencing the following problem with engine. The engine runs fine for about five minutes making sounds etc. However, after five minutes it speeds up real fast (and continues to run) and the sound shuts off. Is there a problem with the track or the engine? Thanks. Ryan

When it speeds up and sounds stop does the smoke stop also? (Only smokes in neutral). If so the tach reader is not providing a signal. Either because it has failed or it has lost power.

The tender tether is one source of this problem. Is it engaging fully, if you move it when the engine is acting up does it fix the issue? Try running with out tender shell (allows the tether to flex out) and see if the problem goes away. If so, the external tether needs to be replaced. G
