I finally getting to fixing my 463 Reactor - the magnet arm jamed up a while ago and I do have a copy of the repair thread for 2011 (I think).

I'm looking for any advice for anyone who has been able to open the gear box to check the belt and gears.

I got pretty far but have been unable to remove the top of the box.  I added two photos to show.

There is one screw I can see that I can't get to under the grey gear 'shifter' that I also can not figure how to remove.

Any guidance or advice would be very welcome.

I will assume you're referring to my post of last year.

Take heart!.....the new gear and belt solved this common problem.

Yes, it is a BEAR to get down to the serviceable level of this problem.  Just take your time, be careful to get the gear shaft bearings properly positioned/seated, accepting a glass of merlot coupled with a shoulder massage from the spouse against a background of soothing music, ....and you'll get there!

And another shout out to Dave and Lynda Rygmyr of Northwest Shortline for adding this Delrin gear to their product line just to solve this problem for us!!
