Looking for information on the wheels and axles on the 700T...
Have an original 700T untouched, the axles are thin in the middle and gently curve out towards the wheels, did Lionel use this throughout the 700E run? Have seen straight axles as well, what is the correct 700T number for the wheels and the diameters of the Flange OD and Wheel OD.

The part number for the tender wheel is 700E-10, the part number for the tender axle is 700T-20, and the part number for the tender wheel and axle assembly is is 700E-33. The tapered axle, 700T-20, shows up in the Lionel Engineering Standard, dated 1966, as a tapered axle. There is no straight axle shown in the Standard. Based on this I would say that the straight axle was designed and used after the postwar era ended,
The OD of the wheel tread is 0.750” and the OD of the flange so 0.900”.

Let's go on to the 700E and 763E pilot and trailing trucks, did the wheels differ for both 700E vs the 763E, Scale vs "O" gage? It appears the same stepped diameter axles we're used, the pilot trucks rear wheels are spoked, can you expand on this, P/N's and wheel sizes.

The rear wheels of the trailing truck are 763E-9. The front wheels for the trailing truck and the pilot truck wheels are 763E-10. However, either I have never run across these wheels or the dimensional differences are so small that I did not detect them. They are not in the engineering standards. All the people I knew who could have answered this question are no longer with us. I hope that there someone on this forum that can answer this question.
