Not very likely, Frank. That earlier "event" will probably not impact a good many of the sellers (or buyers, for that matter) who are participants in the "regular" event. Another factor, of course, is the added cost of attending for those extra earlier days (lodging, food, fuel, employee pay, etc.).
Allan. The same people will be there that are always there Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday like myself. It's just a question of how many dealers will move over to the fairgrounds from the Wyndham. I don't think many will.
The Monday fairgrounds meet will marginally harm the bandit meets. Many people who are selling at the main York meet are also selling at the bandit meets.
It's going to be interesting what happens on Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday. The weather report will be up in 2 weeks.
Discovered Kansas Turnpike actually has tollbooths, so can pay and be done, for occasional use. What a concept! Also found Denver electronic tolling not compatible with eastern system!!? Aparently Big Brother is trying to make it hard to travel in the U. S., and to get to York.

It took years for Florida to start accepting EZ-Pass on the Sunshine State Parkway. Considering the vast numbers of users from the Northeast, it did not make any sense not to accept EZ-Pass.

I suspect that it is up to the individual states (or even the tolling authority) whether to accept the EZ-Pass, not the Feds.
Note: EZ-Pass is widely used in the northeast and elsewhere.
The flight and hotel reservations are made. Just have to get a car. We’re arriving early in the week so we can meet our new Grandson who was born in May. I also secured tickets for the Philadelphia Flyers Home Opener against the Vancouver Canucks!

I was there in April for about 5 hours on Friday and back home I went to tend to my dog that we had to put down the next day.
So… I’ll be there for a full 2 days!

I can agree with that. My first York in 2017 I think initial forecast was cool, October turned to summer for some reason. I had brought my coat, sweatshirt, didn't need either. Shorts would have been a good idea, lol.
I've been to Yorks where you needed/wanted shorts on one day and needed a coat the next. When it comes to York, plan for any kind of weather.

Regardless of the forecast, I am prepared for everything from snow to 80 degrees. Shorts are great even if it's cool since there's so much walking to do.
And it will rain when it's time to walk a purchase out to the car.

Funny you say that Andy. I think in 2018 it was pretty warm during the day. When I got back to my hotel Thursday night there was snow flurries. I can remember people in the pool looking out the window as the snow was coming down and I was heading in for the entrance. The next morning the car had a coating, but that disappeared quickly as the sun came up. Almost like a spring day.
I stick to basics; long pants, long sleeves, sweaters. That way everything goes together and I have less to carry.

Me too. We have had many York Meets over the years that have had inclement weather. That never slows us down.

Like always, temperatures will be in the 80s the week before the Meet. Then a cold rain will blow through on the weekend and during the Meet it won’t get out of the 50s!
But it’ll be bright and comfortable inside the Halls!! 
And the forecast will change 15 times before the week!
Anyway, this week I start organizing my stuff to bring.

Getting closer 12 days to go.
12 days. The crazy countdown. I have to look up a few things before getting to York. One thing I know I definitely need is some Pennsylvania Passenger cars. This would be behind my 3rd Rail S2 Turbine. So, I need to see what all is a good choice(most likely MTH will be the good stuff).

I’ve already started my York purchases. With so many offering York delivery, why wait? I will be picking up my purchases a 4 car set of Golden Gate Depot C&O heavyweights and a Premier N&W consolidation H-3 that is close enough to the original, I hope to pass it off as a N&W G1 after some modifications.

My daughter and I will be attending thursday. I'm hoping we get some reports about bandit meets the new early opening of the hall the days before.
Last april, 2023 was our first York so I have not been in the loop very long. Can someone please indicate where those bandit meets are...Ive seen comments that there are 3 to 4 somewhere around York
Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday at the Sheraton hotel route 30 & 83. The Wyndham garden hotel at very large one indoors and outdoors. And now the purple hall at the fairgrounds. Also I believe the fire station on west market street (back of the fairgrounds.) Please correct me if I am wrong on any of these locations.
