How about using them for the entrances to the Erie tube station?
Here is a picture from the abandoned Erie Terminal c. 1970. Note the similarity of the kiosk design to that of the IRT in Manhattan.

Thanks for posting. I have 4 of them on the layout for my subway entrance. I also have some of the bus stops.
I have two of them, and am still trying to find a good spot for them.
What a close match. These entrances are beautiful.
Chip: Whose make are those models? I could use three of them on my layout. Good place for them above the loading platforms of my Union Station.

That is a good match. May be a lot of uses for these.

Paul, per the title "Carole Town" and Lowe's has been selling them for years!
Although many stores sell "Carole Town" I am not sure if they are still making the subway kiosk's, but you can still find them all over after google search:
Sears, Kohl's, Amazon, eBay, Lowes just to name a few.
Wow, are they neat! I was planning on scratch building one to put at street level above my subway. This may be an alternative. Can anybody provide the dimensions (L,W,& H at top of roof - not spire)? This may eliminate one scratch building project for me as the roof looked like a pain to duplicate.
Thanks.

I used them for that exact reason(subway entrance);first thought came to mind. Fantasy is a big part of this modeling hobby. Enjoy it!
