What a store! Dave and crew have a pretty cool and what I would consider an old fashion shop. Trains on the wall, running on the layout and a full house. Mike was his usual self demoing the Legacy System and answering questions!

Somehow, an MTH GE Evolution Hybrid managed to end up in the back of my car, along with several other things I had preordered from Dave and a MTH TIU-TMCC/Legacy Connector Cord that I needed to be able to operate my Legacy and TMCC locomotives with the DCS Remote.
Definitely a fun afternoon and a chance to meet and chat with MartyE, jojofry, and a number of other forum members and magazine readers. And, of course, Mike Reagan was, as always, in top form. I'm gonna be one of the first in line for that new Lionel Legacy Light (or whatever it's officially called) once it is released. Mike had a pre-production prototype there for us to play with and it will be a must-have addition to my control system.
Looked like a great time, I wish I was there but to far away from me.
Dave your hobby shop looks beautiful.
Thanks, Alex

Any price numbers talked for the Legacy "light" Allan?
No price yet. Still early prototype.

To be honest, I don't know if it was mentioned and I didn't think to ask. Appearance-wise, it very much resembles the TMCC Cab1, but without an external antenna and with a significantly simplified keypad. It obviously does not have all the features of the Legacy handheld, but it has all the features I would want to use (and I already have the full-blown Legacy system available for those not included on the "light" version).
I would have stolen the prototype from Mike and brought it home to play with some more, but he's a lot bigger than me and I value my life and limbs.
Nice talking to you today too Allan. jojo it was nice chatting with you!
Marty & Allan,
Thanks for the info. Based on the catalog, it did look like a "glorified" Cab 1. Dave has a very nice store - would love to visit someday.
thanks mike you are a real asset to the hobby!

Dave,
We don't drive up to Sharon much these days a. I guess that I'm going to have to "bite the bullet" and get up to visit your store. I wish you continued success during this Christmas Season.

Thank you to everybody who showed up. It was great to see some new faces in the crowd.
Here is a photo of me with Victor , from Imperial Trains (another great shop in western PA)and Mike and Dean from Lionel.
I hope everybody had fun today!
Mike and Dean, Thank you for making the trip and sharing some knowledge!
Dave
Literally the only thing missing was Sheriff Andy Taylor. LOL!
The day you put anyone to sleep, Mike, would be the day everyone took massive overdoses of Sominex. It was a very informative and well-attended session. Should be done on a regular basis, although I'll need to leave my wallet at home.
Just want to say thanks to Dave, everyone at Mercer Junction, and Mike and Dean from Lionel for a great day and evening. I enjoyed the day talking about trains and running them on Dave's great layout in his shop. It was great to see and use the new Lionel Cab1-L. Dave thanks again for everything.

Dave, it sounds like it was a great day. Living in NE PA made the trip a bit far for me to attend. I read very good things about your shop and will absolutely stop in for some items when I'm in your area. Im regretting that I did not just get my butt there
Three cool dudes at a train shop !
What a great day that must have been.
David, Mike and Allan.
I met David at York and I was instantly impressed by what a genuinely nice fellow he is.
I look forward to the Mercer Junction Train Shoppe visit with my wife Ginny.

At least you all weren't in black and white. LOL!
The courthouse and square with the businesses surrounding. It works for me.
Elliot are the rest of us chopped liver?
Thanks to Dave for Hosting the event, and thanks to Mike and Dean for taking time for sharing the Legacy information and demonstrations and for answering questions from the group.
As a nice side story for the Lionel Service department, I had a legacy engine that's sounds had completely quit. I obtained an RA from the Lionel Service dept, but thought I'd bring it with me on saturday if Mike was willing to take it back in with him for the service. Mike said sure, and that he'd take a look at it right there. The problem turned out to be a simple matter. Mike fixed it for me on the spot and showed me how it happened, and how to fix it if the sound problem reoccurred. What great customer support!
Here are a coulpe shots I took.

Great to talk to you yesterday. I think we all learned something new with the volume. I can't wait to go up during the holidays. I suspect the store will look pretty awesome!
