This will be the first year in 8 that both of my 2 kids and my 4 grandkids will be visiting for Easter.  So NATURALLY I just HAD to set up a little Easter layout right?  And of course I just HAD to have a candy train, right?

The layout has mostly 27" curves and switches so I will be using a steamer that comes from the 70's, not this Blue Comet.  Turns out that I just got the Blue Comet back from the repair shop yesterday and wanted to make sure it was OK, so I hooked it up (the outer loop is all 42" and 54" so I can run it there).

I hope so, thanks!  No DCS, just conventional.  I have the switches numbered along with the controllers to help them run it.  I want for THEM to run it, not me.  At least that's my plans.

As simple as it looks for 6'x8' display it really is a lot of fun to run - it has 6 switches, 2 cross overs, and reverses and re-reverses.

Ken,

If you can learn me how I'll do it.  I use a cam-corder (?) that uses the mini-DVDs.  I don't know how I would post that here though.  Seriously, I don't have a clue.

I've been asked to do it for my Christmas layout(s) too but just don't know how.  The library's computers seem to accept the mini-DVDs but I'm guessing I'd need software of some sort.  Or not.  See - clueless.

That would be nice but it's not really in my thoughts at this time.  The grandkids as so used to me having a train up and running when they (rarely) visit that I believe that they EXPECT me to have something!  Gives me an excuse
