This is Otto, and his wife, Blanch.  They enjoy having one of the more luxurious Graystones on the lake side of Chicago.

It's a beautiful day and Otto, asks Blanch, if she would like to take a ride in the brand new Mercury, Otto recently purchased....

Blanch, tells Otto, she wants to enjoy her patio and just relax, and he should go for a ride by himself'...

Otto, decides to admire his new Merc, rather than drive it and get it dirty'.

Blanch, is enjoying her roses and flower bed in her adirondack chair'..

I can have as many as 7 unit trains on my layout at any given time, 2 on the 2 main lines and 5 on the sidings in the various sections of the layout. This photo shows  5 unit trains in the middle section of my layout:

And, I just thought of another unit train I can make that I never knew I Had until this moment: livestock, which I will run and videotape later.

I can imagine seeing massive real train yards in the Chicago or NYC metro areas where there could be over 100 unit trains. Arnold

Love photos of trains in the morning light. Geysergazer, I've noticed your windows near your layout before, and the beauty of the light therefrom on your trains.

Arnold, those windows face South and at this Northern latitude the light changes radically with the seasons and I have a lot of fun with it.

This lighting only happens for an hour or so in the afternoon in December-January:

OK... since all of a sudden I have plenty of time...

The Erie Shore & Ironton will likely be my "final" O scale layout.  The plan is to retire here with my 60 X 30 basement devoid of anything non train save for a small heat pump and water heater.  The layout takes up about 30 X 50 and is a double decked affair with only one duck under and that's  about five feet high.  I plan on painting all of my backdrops.  Here are a few photos so far...
