Jackie, the space saver structure is brilliant! Yes, I recall the term "motor court" still on some in the '60s.

Don:
I wish I could come and visit, but, I live on the north east coast in Baltimore, Maryland and have only been to Texas twice for Houston Symphony auditions in the late 1970's. However, Thank you for your kind invitation. Stay well.

Thank's Mark, I think half the fun in building structures is doing the research.

I could sure go for a coney right now. Here in Flint MI we are under curfew. Even now we are not allowed to do unessential travel after 9. McDonald's today with the limited menu (no shakes) 4 of the 9 main number choices were out of stock.
Great photos everyone, please keep them coming! They really give out some great ideas!

Johan, I think this one is one of your best! And that means super high quality in details and photography composition!!
What great pictures everyone, makes a rather dull Saturday morning much more fun. Trumptrain - the C&O, N&W and the A-5 picture were terrific. BARGP7 - agree with Mark, that picture is really super, every detail, like to realism of the coal pile for example, combines to give a very realistic picture. BillT- well the AEC switcher is a gem. Very hard to find especially in any kind of good condition. Randy Harrison - what a great picture of a spring day. Our zoo just re-opened here in Waco and it is a favorite of both my kids and grand kids. Sidehack - the fellows with that (1955?) Chrysler convertible and (1957?) Cadillac convertible both with white upholstery are really going to be mad when they come back and find it covered with cinders from that steamer in the background!
Happy Memorial Day to all
