Looks like it must have been cccccold out there .      Where were these photos taken p51.

Tenino, WA. It's south of Olympia.

It was in the low 30s at that point, the first winter snows of the season had only been going a few hours at that point. Snow isn't common here, you can go several years between snows.

We're supposed to get a lot of snow tonight, most forecasts call for anything between 6 to 12 inches. I just hope its not too heavy to bring down the power lines, otherwise I will cope. By Sunday it should be over and rains will come after that.

I figured that as the roads were okay that day, it might be my best chance to get snow shots with trains without a white knuckle drive there and back.

John, are those Popsicle Stick boardwalks?

I ask because I have used Popsicle Sticks (a box of 1,000 my sister gave me that she purchased from an art supply store 30 years ago) for various things on my layout. I must still have at least 500 of them left. Arnold

Arnold,

Wow, that's a lot of popsicle sticks.  Actually, mine are leftover parts from a dollhouse project.  😀

Gandydancer 1950, it’s always great to see pictures of your 1950’s style layout. This is a great thread with so many fine pictures of fine layouts. Our snow, here in Tennessee is finally leaving town, good bye..... Happy Railroading Everyone
