I caught this yesterday evening. Pretty rare to see all CN power on a train here. This was southbound at Tenino, WA and I assume with a UP crew.

Great pic Ed...I like the maroon "Corvair" too and the back loading doc of "Morrison Door!" I'm convinced making the grandkids smile when seeing the layout is the best reward out there
Hello cousins', There have been some questions regarding the figures from Great Britain's "Model U". I've posted the information and particulars about this company. I don't recall what thread I put it on. These figures are actual scanned human beings. The a scale model of the scanned person is made into a model. Personally, I think, they some of the beat figures available today. However, they do require painting. Here is the latest batch I just finished up. There are two I have to touch up, and redo their facial details. The rest are as good as they are going to be... The police officer is an Artista figure, for comparison sake'....

Outstanding job, Ted...some interesting characters in the group
Ted,
If these are actual scanned people, then the Brits they used are a bit scary looking!
Do these come in different styles e.g. periods of time?
Ted - those figures are incredible!!! Thanks for posting
Ted, you did a nice job painting those great looking citizens!

The British were never famous for their looks'😲 ANd yes many different time periods. And every scale also. You should take a look at the site.. Model U.com.. Besides figres, they offer many unique structure accessories...
I agree, I don't know what it is with all the bald heads.???.
Another great company for figures in all scales is... PRINTLE SHOP by Benhaim - Shapeways Shops
It's debatable which company is the best'.. They have excellent figures. Printle has the best female figures with out question.........
The real key is, both companies 1/48, 1/43, and 1/43.5 are 100% accurate. That makes them stand out, on the layout... and dioramas..... I prefer 1/43.5...
Ed, wow what an amazing shot! Looks so realistic!
Ted, you sure have a lot good looking folks there! What an amazing job! I am painting one of the building I nm doing for a flat and that sucks! LOL
Great photos by all, Thanks for sharing them all with us!
Thanks, Mark, Ted, Paul and Mike. My son took the shots and then worked some magic and this was the result. I think I may do more, from different angles and compositions...Your encouragement helps.
Ted, your figures are, as always, amazing. I marvel at how realistic your painting is, skin tones and facial painting. I'm happy if my faces don't look like Freddy Kruger.

Lee, I would be more likely to assume that it was a BNSF crew since the BNSF interchanges with the CN just north of the border. The UP only goes up Seattle on the west side of the Cascades, which I’m sure you know.
Larry
Thanks Ed, and Mike'.. Ed, I cant wait to see some more magic...😀

Mikeg - thanks so much! Yes that kid is the only kid in town who rides a bike without handle bars ... he does all sorts of tricks on his bike..... hand stands, rides the bike backwards, stands on the seat and balances the bike perfectly. He says that one day he wants to run away and join the circus! He heard that, forum member, Randy Harrison's Bungling Brothers Circus is hiring

I had a hard enough time riding my single speed/no handbrakes bicycle as it was. Some kids can do most anything.

I saw this over the weekend (at the cost of a flat tire), a DoD flat to carry ICBM rocket bodies for the Navy, heading to the sub base at Bangor eventually.
Looks like something out of a cartoon, especially the markings. If someone made a model just like this, I would assume it only exists in someone's imagination!

Hey Mike and Mark , if you want to get the full bicycle experience you should try one that my creative and cleaver friend at the independent motorcycle shop made...........it was set up to turn right when you wanted to go left and turned left when you wanted to go right.

Patrick...some serious scrap metal in that scene...very realistic! I like the blue / white Mack center left...wondering what process you used to color the tracks to a brownish / rust shade??

Masterfully down and dirty, Patrick, which is one way to go in model railroading that can be very realistic. Arnold

Thank you so much Capetrainman! For the rails I used Floquil paint markers ( like Magic Markers) applying first the Rail Brown with a second application of Rust. As I'm color blind I rely on the product labels to guide me. I don't think these markers are still manufactured by as the rest of the Floquil paints for model railroads has been discontinued. I think? Testors makes these markers in similar colors.
