Artie that small layout and the idea of being able to "convert" it between display and holiday lay out is really neat. Great job!

C.Sam - that is real artistry how you blend the foreground scenery with the backdrops. It really looks real and the forced perspective is great.

Well, Don, I like to give credit where credit is due. Jim’s original article was in Run 238, Oct./Nov. 2009 OGR. His layouts were more detailed than mine.
Thanks, though!
C.Sam, in the midst of my discussion, I wanted to say what a beautiful layout!
@trumpettrain posted:FOR TODAY: Short line railroads Maryland and Pennsylvania SW1 and Patapsco and Back Rivers VO1000 enter and exit East Tunnel in grand style. Although these two prototype roads once served the Baltimore area, their tracks and and therefore their locomotives would have come close to one another, however, on the Free State Junction Railroad these roads meeting one another is a common occurrence. Long live these short lines!!
I'm liking this scene Patrick.
This is a really good close up with the tunnel.

........and that DOOR factory is something else. I sure wish I had planned my layout with that building in mind. 🙄

Where did you find the "old" push mower? That is similar to the one that I almost got my thumb cut off in when I was four-years old!

I think it came with a Menards Hardware building. I used to cut my grandmas grass with one, she wouldn't let us use a power mower. Though that was 50 years ago it would be child abuse now LOL.

Jeff, nice scene! I like the Department 56 building, they look great. Funny how the Lemax and Department 56 buildings are close to semi scale, but their figures are gigantic. The tow truck is very nice, I wouldn't mind having one of those! The '55 or '56 pink Cadillac Coupe (I'm all Shook Up) is a nice touch, except Elvis' 56 had a cream colored roof and it was a Sedan (Land Yacht). Is that Priscilla getting ready to leave? ;-) I think Elvis bought a new pink Cadillac every year, and the 55 and 56 were probably most well known.
Thanks for sharing your layout moment.
Scott
@Jeffery Boat, That is a very cool scene! To bad the model A is going for a ride! I hope the owner gets it before it goes up for auction!
@Dave Ripp. Love trailer with Jake watching guard!
@Capetrainman, I hope they stay there all night! I would hate to see anyone need there services! I use to drive ambulance, some days are great and some just suck!
FOR TODAY: MOW crew is busy. Foreman Jack Spratt, standing far left on the flat car with chin in hand, is working out a strategy for today's projects. Willy Dee helps keep ties on the forklift. J.D. Barrister, standing next to the pickup truck, thinks his pickup can't haul many more ties or else the rear tires will blow out. One thing for sure; whatever the task Jack Spratt has in store, these fellers will gitter done! Just another day on the railroad.
Well can’t run trains so here is a picture of my big boy I unpacked to just here it.
@Artie-DL&W posted:Nice park, Dave. Here’s mine, which lends itself more to fishing and camping.
Thanks Artie, A water feature always adds interest to a layout. And I love fall layouts nice color palette.
It's time to pick the grapes off the vine. At the Garden Valley Vineyards.
Keep those trains running!

Jeff, Great idea. My grandma had a small grape orchard when I was a yougster. You did a nice job depicting it.
Thanks, Dave.
Wow, Jeff, very nice house and vineyard!
It's just about impossible to distract these fishermen, intent on catching the big one before the season ends...
Dave and Artie, You both have great looking parks in there own special way!
Patrick your guys are always busting there rears!
Jeffery, Love the vineyards!
Paul, what a great scene! I guess its a good thing those guys don't go fishing with me! LOL

Dave, lots of great contributions. Did you make the trailer skirting or did it come with the trailer?

That's how they come from Woodland Scenecs. They did a nice job but only made 3 models. The only liberty I've taken is changing the stipes on one to light blue.
