FOR TODAY: B&O Dockside basks in the glow of a full moon. ( This photo taken in natural light. )
Western Pacific'... I did a little more research on the KM. I didn't realize it had two motors in it. I read a while back, the roads that acquired them had nothing but problems with the extremely complex drive/transmission system... It is indeed though a fascinating locomotive'.. In this case though, the famous German engineering fell short'....

Truly a fantastic layout', John. The trolley transferring passengers is really a very unique feature. Haven't scene this portrayed on any other layout that comes to mind'.. Beautiful modeling, and interesting scenarios... .👍👌😉

@trumpettrain, Patrick wonderful night scene! You sure have a special gift in catching the photos with such great lighting!
@farmerjohn, Very cool scene! I love the aspect of the trolly tanking passengers from one stop the rest of the way to the final stop. I am always impressed with photos of your layout! It's just all AMAZING!
@Dale Guthman, wonderful photos! I really like the BNSF engine in the service house! Looks great!

Really amazing levels with all the wood and iron looking bridging John. A ton of work ( play ) I'm sure but oh what a great result. 😉
Nice shot, Patrick. Those NW2’s are classic.

Still love all the extraneous material around the layout Patrick. It really gives an added dimension to your model railroad layout.

Thank you Dallas! As a kid ( and adult ) it was the "extraneous" material I saw beside the tracks that made an impression on me. To me modeling those extraneous things adds a special flavor to most any scene. I consider those "extraneous' materials to be the "secret sauce" when modeling a scene.

OK Patrick........." secret sauce " ? " special flavor " ? ................I'm assuming ( 🙃 ) there is going to be a cooking section in your MODEL RAILROOAD PHOTO AND VIDEO STORYBOOK . 😉

We don't see no stinking toy Patrick !!! 🕵️♂️
Nice work .😉
Mark, Don, and Dallas thank you all so much for your kind compliments regarding the weathered caboose and yard scene! Much appreciated!
FOR TODAY: Team tracks are busy in Lower Patsburg today as is the one in Danlilu on the Mountain Division. The big front end loader helps unload oversized gears from a boxcar in Lower Patsburg. Gondola loads of large rocks are on the siding at Danlilu. These rocks are headed for a stone crusher many miles away.

The Patsburg area continues to keep industry alive. 😉 Nice photo capture of the activity.
I might have missed this Patrick , but what is the population of Patsburg ? 🤔
FOR TODAY: Short line railroads Maryland and Pennsylvania SW1 and Patapsco and Back Rivers VO1000 enter and exit East Tunnel in grand style. Although these two prototype roads once served the Baltimore area, their tracks and and therefore their locomotives would not have come close to one another, for two roads trackage were on opposite ends of the city however, on the Free State Junction Railroad these roads meeting one another is a common occurrence. Long live these short lines!!

Thanks Dallas! Actually the censuses missed Patsburg in 2020 so the population was never counted. Sorry but I don't have an accurate answer to your question .. lol !

An overall shot of my portable Area 51 layout, which converts to my Christmas layout with just a few carved styrofoam scenic pieces.

Wow, that’s really creative Artie; you could probably make a Halloween layout too.
Well, Mark, the idea came from a Halloween/fall layout idea from an article in OGR by Jim Policastro, which he modified in a later issue into a beautiful Christmas layout. I was taking small layouts to spelling bees (!) run by a friend of mine at local schools which also celebrated railroading in this part of PA.
