This is my small 4x8 layout that I built mainly to display at small shows. It is built in two 4x4 foot sections that sit on a rolling base which contains all the power and control equipment. Thanks to a recent move, I was able to expand with a small L-shaped yard and engine servicing area using Fasttrack.

The small layout has 14 accessories and was powered by 6 180 watt powerhouse bricks and controlled with Legacy/TMCC using TPC400s and a modern ZW (ZWC)

I just recently changed to the newest ZW-L, see the controls forum for more on how that has gone.

The layout is set very low, like 36 inches from the floor, which is ideal for small children. Yes, I run all sorts of trains, old and new, expensive and cheap. I believe they were all meant to be run, and as long as I supervise them, I let kids run them all day long.
