Thanks for coming over Marty. Sorry it took so long to happen, but Im already thinking about how much I could get done in a short time so we could do it again soon! Heather and I really enjoyed everyones company and look forward to it again.

- Larry - I The largest curve is 108, and the smallest is 72. The grade is about 2.5%. Because I have some tall double stacks, and car carriers as rolling stock. If I did not run those taller cars I would have been able to make it less.

Thanks Louis for the measurements. It's nice that you planned these larger curves into your layout and I did the same. I have no less than 072, up to 0120. I used 2.5% for my grades also as I incorperated 2 Helixes in mine. 073, by stretching K-line 027-height 072 track in the helix's. I had to use 6-3/4 Overhead Clearance so as to run Lionel Scale GG1's with the Pantographs up.  By using the curve diameters you chose, you can run almost all of the new Trains being made today. It's just Fantastic.

Marty did a great job with the Video's. Happy Railroading.

I was there running my trains and it was a joy to see them go around his layout.  He had the layout on the forum some time ago and I had been to his house before and I was looking forward to putting my trains on the tracks of his layout.  They ran great and I had a fun time, as well with the people who came to see your layout.

Thanks Louis.

I'll bet it was fun seeing your trains going around Louis's layout!  Also, the O Gauge folks I have met in the Greater Pittsburgh area are top notch!  I saw a few faces of great folks I recognized in the photos.  Maybe it is that O Gauge folks in general are really nice, no matter where they live!  This Forum proves that!

Marty,
Thanks for the post, this is excellent!

Heard from Patrick H? How's he doing?

I just made the connection of Louis and his fine layout build thread from last year!  Irony-I was looking for that thread a few days ago!

What an improvement in a year!

I've also wondered about Patrick H....Hope he's doing well and all is OK.

Layouts like this are always a pleasure to look at!

Spence, glad to hear, I've been tracking your progress on other threads.  Glad you'll make it back to the basement, most important is for 'ops normal' in your daily life!  Hope you have a speedy recovery!
