Many of you may have been following Elliot's adventures with his "Dreamnightmare Layout." This week I was fortunate to meet him, see the layout, and enjoy his company during a fantastic tour of Twin Cities railroading. Elliot is one fantastic and friendly fellow. He bemoans his relative isolation from "mainstream O-gauge Railroading," but I assure you, If you venture to the Twin cities area, be sure to look him up. (Contact info. in his profile.)  Also met Mill Cities, and along with my friend Mike the four of us had great railroading and great food.

Words cannot describe his layout in progress. I'll just list some:  over 2,000 square feet, TWO helixes, lots of main lines, lots of yards, hidden trackage, camera on the hidden areas, 4 viewing video screens, TMCC operation, and many more. But, here's some photos.

I have movies as well, but they will have to wait until I get a high-speed connection at home. Tried to upload one this AM and the "hot spot" is way too slow.

Elliot, thank you again ever so much. Watch your mail, my friend, in the coming days.

And, if you live along the route of The Cardinal, wave as we go by, leaving Chicago tonight, 7/26.

 The man in his element!

Thank you so much Bill! I really enjoyed having the opportunity to show you and Mike around the Twin Cities. Wednesday will, without a doubt, go down as the number one highlight of 2014 for me.

From my perspective, I found these two photos to be most unique.

You had captioned the first one, "The man in his element!" A lovely sentiment to be sure, very kind.

My brutally honest version: Toy train jail, the man being punished for not cleaning his track.

Here you have captured something most rare indeed. There, standing by the door, is the elusive mystery man, Mill City (Jon). Well done!

I'm very anxious to see what else you captured on our adventures.

Wednesday was amazing. To borrow Mike's word of the day, it was "stupefying". I felt somewhat depleted the next day and passed it off as mere exhaustion from the previous day of endless train related activity. But now I see evidence of the real reason for my weakened state, my likeness captured by a camera!
