I just repalced the ac reg board in my lionmaster up challenger 6-1100. When turning on and off the smoke unit or setting the smoke volume. As you all know with the cab 2. There are four aux9 button settings. Off-low-mid -high. My engine now works and smokes great.

The only problem is cycling through smoke settings with the aux9 button requiers more than four presses. For example you must hit aux9 button around 7 times to get the smoke unit to turn on and vice versa to turn it off. Just pressing aux9 once and screen on cab2 says low does not turn smoke unit on low. It does seem to have low med and high settings working. They just dont match the cab2 screen settings.

Hope you can understand what I am trying to say. The ac reg baord I installed is in photo below. Are there different ac reg board variations in legacy steamers. Mine says code S03. This is the lionel recomended replacement baord. Was I sent the wrong ac reg board? Whats going on here?

Also FYI I just matched up the colored wires comming off the original instaled reg board very carfully when installing. Being sure to cut each color one at a time and soldering wires together with added heat shrink over the soldered wire areas.

Sorry for the delay I was out running errands. Thought I typed the item # in correctly. Guess I did not sorry. Thanks for all the help offered though. Problem solved. Looks like I installed the wrong one. Put the correct one in and all functions as should be. Guess that answers my question about thier being different ac reg boards. Learn somthing new everyday.
