Well this is such a simple question but I can't seem to find the answer. We're adding a second TIU to an exsisting TMCC/Legacy/DCS system which is running fine already. I've read the O Gauge Companion over and over as far as adding another TIU and realize we need to addess it as #2 because the 1st one is #1. I also know that we will change them both to operate in SUPER TIU mode to move the same engines across different power districts on the layout. What I can't find is:

DO THE 2 TIU's GET CONNECTED TOGETHER IN ANY WAY??  (Like hooking the AIU to the TIU with the phone cord)

No, they do not.

Just follow the instructions in The DCS O Gauge Companion 2nd Edition on pages 118-119.

This and a whole lot more is all in "The DCS O Gauge Companion 2nd Edition", now available for purchase as an eBook or a printed book from MTH's web store site! Click on the link below to go to MTH's web page for the book!

Nope!..The remote will communicate with the second tiu. The  outside rails are common to each tiu.

Adding adding TIU can get confusing because the software will actually let you  add tiu to the remote even  if  they don't exist.

Your new (second) tiu should have  address  TIU #1,(same as your existing tiu) You could  edit the new tiu#1 to address #2, so power down the existing tiu and use the edit tiu address command to edit new  tiu #1 to tiu address #2

.Now add tiu #1 . .

You can now set each tiu to super mode(under tiu set up) There are some software bugs  running super mode with 4.2 that you wouldn't notice running normal mode.

If you get hung up .....when you first power up a tiu, the red led on top of the tiu blinks. the number of blinks is the actual tiu number.
