I installed an ERR Cruise Commander on a PS1 engine a few weeks ago and it works great. Now I will be adding ERR Railsounds. It seems to be straight forward accept one thing. Do I get separate power from the track or does the power come from the CC board? I am using the PS1 electro couplers and I upgraded the lighting.

One other question can I use the existing PS1speaker that came with the engine instead of using the ERR one that came in the kit?

The ERR Rail sounds kit has a wire that connects the sound board to the cruise commander. Use the speaker and baffle that comes with the kit. Also I believe that PS1 coupler will blow the triac for the coupler so you may want to get an ERR or Lionel coupler.

If the Cruise Commander and RS board are both in the engine then you can get power directly from the CC board. If the RS board is in the tender then you can get power from the track if the tender has rollers making sure outside and center rail is correct. Otherwise you will need to assign two wires in the tether for power.
