Hi Everyone,

I have the Williams #22802 AmTrak Phase IV Genesis Powered & Dummy Set and am thinking about upgrading it to TMCC using an ERR product.  I have read a number of posts regarding ERR, but can't figure  out where to start.  All I want to do is be able to use my Base 3 (when it comes) and be able to control the engine by remote control.  I don'e need to operate the couplers, and sound is not an issue since I would just use the horn in the engine.

Below is a link to the set.  They note that the "set features 4 wheel power trucks with traction tires, powered by dual motors, flywheel coasting action, all metal gears, electronic 6-amp reverse board, True Blast II™ digital horn and bell".

Thanks, Dave

Theses days the choice is a Cruise Commander. You can’t use the existing sound board with TMCC. Would be simple install. The CC has screw terminals, one side has a pair for track power and a pair that goes to the motors. You can wire the headlight to a pair of terminals on the other end of the board. Sound and power couplers can be added later. Go to electricrr.com and download the manual for the Cruise Commander.

You may have to drill some holes for the program/run switch and to mount the board.

How exactly are you using that existing sound board with the TMCC?
