I recently got my layout up and running after it was down for some scenery work - I'll share some photos about that in the future.  But I wonder if anyone has come upon this situation.  I have 3 AIUs servicing a bit over 2 dozen switches and various sidings.  Last week, I upgraded my DCS equipment with the latest software and then uploaded a new chain file to one of my engines.  Since then, I seemed to have somewhat lost communication with my 2nd and 3rd AIU.  I say somewhat because all of the switches and accessory equipment (in my case, I use it for whisker tracks and sidings) are still showing on my App in the Ipad.  In fact, they all still operate but they are greyed out on the screen?  I cannot edit them, I cannot create new routes and if I try to use a route, only the switches linked to AIU #1 will operate.  When I tried to edit any of the equipment on the 2nd or 3rd AIU, the TIU shows that only AIU #1 exists.  I've tried checked al lthe connections and did the shut down and restart several times.  Again, the equipment on #2 and #3 operate using the App and I'm almost afraid of doing too much for fear of losing that capability.   Anyone else have this occur before and if so, what was your course of action?  Thank you!

I couldn't resist tinkering and experimenting.  The iPad I used for DCS operation is an old one which I pretty much dedicated to train use.  I grabbed my present iPad and of course, it worked fine on the 1st try in that it immediately showed AIU #2 and #3.  I'm not sure why that would be the case, but nevertheless, it worked.  It may be the software version as my old iPad is up to date at version 12.5 and my newer iPad is up to date at version 14.3.  I guess backwards compatibility with the app may not always be the case?

Okay, all is resolved now.  I tried the app restart as suggested by Dave above and that didn't do it.  However, I exported my data from the app, deleted the app and then downloaded the data back into a freshly installed app.  After going through that, everything returned to normal.   Funny how refreshing things just seemed to take care of things.  Thanks for the lead Dave!
