Allegheny meets Early Alcos | O Gauge Railroading On Line Forum

C&O Allegheny crosses the viaduct at Toms Bridge, VA. A military transport freight meets up with it pulled by 2 early Alcos. I suspect and Allegheny found itself running with early Alcos during the last hurrah of steam. I'm sure they never ran with the M1A1's but what the heck!

That is the River City 3 Railers Modular layout. Peter, great name for the bridge! Think that name is gonna stick.

BTW, guys that is one heavy train. With all those die cast tanks, it's probably 50 pounds of train!

Alan.....here's a birds-eye view of the layout from the 2nd floor of the rotunda of RF&P Broad Street Station, now the Science Museum of VA.

The bridge is in the upper right corner.
