My previous layout did not have much room for 3-D building but did have quite a bit of wall space, so I had quite a few flats.  My current layout, under construction, has much more real estate so I need more buildings in 3-D.

I have the front panel of the Ameri-Town Theater painted up as a flat.  I found some other building pieces, enough to complete one 3-D building.  Here's what I had to work with:

I had to glue a couple of pieces together to make all sides equal heights.  Shored up the shorter pieces with basswood and painted all three sides with Krylon Khaki spray.

Had to swap out the top piece off the original theater front and add one that gave enough height to cover the roof joints.  Even at that I had to raise the front panel a bit - the thickness of the sidewalk - to get all 4 sides the same.

Here's the mostly finished product.  I had some old signs on one of the original side panels that I just painted over, may add some new ones in their place.
