Right now we're focused on Penn & Albuquerque to ensure they are ready for York...hmm that's right around the corner!!!

I keep thinking I'd like to cut an O scale version of the San Bernardino ATSF/UP Depot, but the time and materials cost is astronomical. A guy built one for H.O. and an O scale version would have been around $5,000. An O scale model would be about 11 feet long. I have the drawings just in case I suddenly have the time and resources to build it.

That is a beautuful station! Very nice.    ATSF and the SW U.S. are what I model on my layout.  But this station model is way too big for me to find a place on my layout for something like it.  I love the style and look, though, and might look to having a very compressed, "abbreviated" version in the future, if I could.

.....Say, is that the place in ABQ where Buggs Bunny made that wrong turn?

That's the challenge with doing a "scale" model of any of these landmark structures in "O" gauge. As you mentioned scale models of these huge structures become enourmous in 1/4" scale. 

 

That's the beauty of what Roger and the TrainWorx Traingineers are doing with our Landmark Series. The goal is to capture the essence of the look of each of the stations/terminals at the same time using architectural compression of the largest structure elements to reduce the footprint to a more manageable "O" gauge or even toy train experience. In this way, we are creating a structure that "looks like" a Pennsy Station, Grand Central Terminal, Chicago Union Station, or Albuquerque without being a "scale" model.

Dorcie, Would you ask Roger what he plans to use for lighying on this station. The reason I ask is because of the time period that you are modeling. I know that sometimes you use LED'S BUT MAYBE this model could be considered for the Grain of Wheay lights which give off a far older look. Thank you for considering it.

Dorcie, Do you have a Target time for this station to go on sale and what are you projecting dor delivery?

Our Albuquerque Station will be revealed at the Fall York Show at which time I'll have all the specifications and no doubt will have an *Absolutely Ridiculous **Steal-of-a-deal offer to take advantage of!

Wow..I am a fan of and a builder of large buildings...grain elevators and stamp mills,

but even though I have a desert town with adobe structures, I can't justify this large

a city station for my short line, small town theme.  I am guessing this kit is going to

cost a few more shillings than that for a milk station platform on the Ma & Pa?

However, do a model of the Gold Prince Mill at Animas Forks, Colo., so I don't have

to scratch build it, and I will take out a second mortgage.

Wow...this station is beautiful.  So many interesting lines.  I hope you sell a lot of them.

Keith they sure did do a fine job on this station. I am very intrested in what they are going to use for lighting on this model.

 

The lighting we're going to use for our Albuquerque Station is:

 

LED Silicon Embedded Warm White - UL Listed 12V DC - with 110/120V plug In transformer.
