I took my MTH 0-8-8-0 Erie Camelback to Mercer Junction to have Dave Minarek install a BCR to replace the two AA rechargeable battery setup in the tender. Then we tested the locomotive on Mercer Junction's store layout. Dave and I were not happy with the sound quality, so Dave quickly(and cheaply) installed a new speaker while I purchased a few items. As Alan Miller of OGR says, "Having a great LHS is so important."
Dave and I both have a P&LE A2 Berkshire that are among our favorite locomotives, but the visual action of the Camelback got the other store patron's attention.
