Any interest in code 83 rail?

I am going to use about 12 LF of code 83 on some really poor lightly used industrial area.  I suspect that your 2 rail wheels would have a fit with code 83, more like the flanges hitting ties or spike heads.

You may have peoples who hanlaid their turnout in HO with jig like Fastrack ( not the Lionel one ) At the time I was in HO I was using atlas code 83 flex and do my turnout with rail that I remove from the flex. 

Given that some On3 and On30 modelers use Code 70, Code 83 shouldn't be a problem.

Wow, you know what?  I totally misread Wills initial post!  For some reason I thought he was going to try and incorporate the code 83 into his new O scale layout.

To answer your question, it probably has value. That value will be determined when you post it on ebay. For reference, I purchased some used code 100 for an O scale layout I wanted to do. I payed around $50 for a bundle that contained various sizes.

According to www.urbaneagle.com/data/RRsizes.html, HO code 83 rail scales out slightly smaller than ASCE 55 pound rail in O-scale. My On3 equipment will run on it nicely. This is slightly smaller than the prototype 75 pound rail (HO code 100) installed for the heavier K-class locomotives on the D&RGW. Visually, it's nearly indistinguishable from code 100 especially if the rail is painted/weathered. I have a lot of Rail Craft code 83 on an unfinished HO layout. If I build an On3 layout, I'll hand-lay most of the track with this old rail.
