As the snow is starting to fly here in Ohio (and the TV news and weather people go into hyper-weather-hype mode), I'm starting to think about a spring railfanning trip.
Since I always liked the F- and E-unit locomotives, I'm thinking of driving from Dayton out to wherever the Peoria and Western F-units are in Illinois. Does anyone have any suggestions for such a railfanning trip like places to see the F's, days of the week they are used, etc?
